I’m Julia Chen, a product designer with over 9 years of experience designing digital products in fintech. For the past 4 years, I’ve worked remotely with global teams across different time zones, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and data partners.

My work focuses on user activation, conversion, and decision-making, especially in complex systems where clarity matters.

Since late 2024 I’ve worked independently. Client projects include product and UX strategy for technology teams and a corporate site redesign for a medical technology company. I also built Flowmark, a Figma plugin, and took it from first sketch to paid release. Every decision on it was mine, down to the price.

I enjoy taking ambiguous problems apart and turning strategy into product decisions a team can act on. Having worked in both fast-moving startups and large-scale platforms, I care about clear structure and about design decisions that hold up in real-world use.
